Want to fish Major League Fishing Style…..Now You Can!

Indy League Fishing LLC was formed in 2015 by Bob Speers and Mike Schwomeyer to host very high quality and exciting Major League Fishing style tournaments in the Midwest for amateur or Pro Anglers. Our goal is to keep the format as close as possible to the Major League Fishing format and rules. The challenge here in the Midwest is to create a level playing field for all Anglers since most Anglers have fished every body of water.

Our first year 2015 was a great success hosting the ILF Inaugural Series which included 20 Anglers competing in Qualifying Rounds, a Wildcard Round and the Championship. We also hosted a Boater / Non Boater event to allow Co-Anglers to experience this exciting new Bass Fishing Tournament style.

ILF for 2016 will be a year of expansion. We will host the TFO Challenge Series and the Kahlo Challenge Kup Series. In addition we will host one day events such as the Bass Unlimited Foundation High School Team Bass Tournament Cup and a couple of Boater / Non Boater events. We also announced a new service where we are offering are Services to Bass Clubs, Bass Organizations and College and High School Bass Clubs throughout the Midwest allowing those organizations to experience the MLF / ILF tournament style of fishing.

Another thing that makes this format very unique is the care given to the fish. For example, the fish are released in the same area they are caught, the fish must be released below the gunwale of the boat rather than tossed back in the water and fish cannot touch the Anglers body or anything in the boat. There are actual penalties imposed on Anglers for mishandling of the fish. See Rules for more info.

Mike and I are very excited to bring this format to the Midwest and would like to thank everyone for their tremendous support. If you would like to get involved in one of our Events or Series contact us.
